How TikTok Creator Leagues Works
The Creator League is a weekly ranking inside TikTok LIVE that rewards top streamers with a larger share of Diamond rewards. You earn points called fragments each day based on where you finish, and four fragments move you up a tier. This guide covers the four Divisions, the fragment system, the League Shield, and the fastest honest way to climb.
The League structure: Divisions and tiers
The League is split into four Divisions. Each one has its own badge color, and each holds five tiers (Division A holds three). Your Division and tier are shown to viewers and to other creators you match with, so they act as a public status marker.
Division D
Entry level, tiers D1 to D5. You cannot lose fragments here unless you are at D1, so new creators are protected from dropping out.
Division C
Intermediate, tiers C1 to C5. A bottom finish can now cost you a fragment.
Division B
Higher achievement, tiers B1 to B5. Top 1% finishes start paying out here.
Division A
Top division, tiers A1 to A3. The largest fragment gains and the steepest bottom penalty.
How you move up a tier
Movement runs on a points system. Fragments add up and subtract across days.
- Four fragments move you up one tier: D5 to D4, D4 to D3, and so on.
- Four fragments also cross Divisions: D1 to C5, C1 to B5, B1 to A3, then A3 to A2 to A1.
- Losing four fragments moves you back down one tier the same way.
Because fragments carry over day to day, promotion is a running total, not a single big night. Four Top 10% days will do it. So will eight Top 20% days.
Fragment rewards and penalties
What you gain or lose each day depends on your Division and where you finish inside it.

The important exception sits in Division D: there is no bottom penalty unless you are at D1. This is deliberate, so brand new creators are not pushed out of a zone below the entry point.
The League Shield: your safety net
The League Shield stops you from losing a fragment on a bad day. When you reach a higher League, you have a chance to receive one as a gift.
Shield rules
- Earning a Shield is free.
- Unused Shields do not expire.
- You can hold up to ten Shields at once.
- A Shield fires automatically the moment you are about to lose a fragment.
Guardian Support and the Pledge
TikTok Guardian is a Live feature that lets viewers back their favorite streamers with both a public commitment and direct gifts. It revolves around two actions: the Guardian pledge and Guardian gifts.
A Guardian is a viewer who uses either the pledge or gifts to support a creator. The pledge makes the support visible to everyone, while gifts provide immediate financial backing.
How the pledge and gifts work:
- Guardian pledge: a status viewers can unlock to publicly commit to a streamer. Once unlocked, the pledge appears on the supporter's profile and in Live chat as a badge of loyalty.
- Guardian gifts: virtual items sent during Live that convert to creator rewards. They reinforce the pledge and can give supporters a distinct chat presence or access to creator perks.
To unlock the Guardian pledge:
- Join a Live where Guardian features are enabled.
- Look for the Guardian or pledge icon in the Live interface or the gifting menu.
- Follow the on-screen prompts, which may require sending a specific Guardian gift or meeting an eligibility requirement.
- After completing the action, your Guardian status shows on your profile and in Live chat.
To send a Guardian gift:
- Enter a Live with Guardians enabled.
- Tap the gift box icon.
- Choose a Guardian gift from the pledge section.
- Confirm the send; the creator receives the associated support.
Things to keep in mind
- Guardians are not available for every creator — the feature only appears for eligible streamers.
- Unlock steps can change, so always follow the in-app prompts shown during the Live.
- Guardian gifts serve double duty: they provide immediate support and unlock the pledge or Guardian status.
A stockpile changes your strategy. Without Shields, one rough day costs a fragment you then have to win back. With a few saved up, you can ride through travel, illness, or a hard week without dropping a tier.
How to climb, step by step
Climbing is about pace, not luck.
Stay consistent
A steady schedule beats streaming sporadically. If you go LIVE most days of the month, you give yourself more chances to land in a scoring bracket and stack fragments.
Give gifters a schedule to plan around
When a viewer knows you go LIVE on set nights, they can plan their monthly Coin budget around your stream. A predictable slot turns casual gifting into a routine, which can lift your daily placement.
Spend Shields on purpose
Save your Shields for the days you know will be weak, like a travel day or a short stream.

The group-LIVE exception
Points from gifts you receive as a guest in a group LIVE, when you are not the main host, do not count toward your League score. If you guest with a larger creator and their viewers gift you Diamonds, those Diamonds stay out of your daily total. The rule is intended to block people from climbing on the back of a bigger creator.
Rewards for climbing
Your position shows up in three ways that other people can see.
- League badge: appears in your League details, visible to viewers and to creators you might match with.
- Tier tag: shows your exact tier, such as B5 or A2, with a Division color (bronze for D, copper for C, silver for B, gold for A).
- Promotion announcement: when you reach a higher League, a banner appears at the top of your LIVE telling viewers in real time.
Opting out and what changes
You can leave the League, and every other ranking, at any time. Before a stream, open the Go LIVE screen and tap Settings, then Rankings. During a stream, tap More, then Settings, then Rankings.
After you opt out
- You no longer appear on any LIVE ranking, including the Creator League.
- Your League badges stop showing on your LIVEs.
- You can no longer see your own badges or other creators' badges during matches.
- Your badges still show to your opponent and to viewers during matches, even though you cannot see them.
Opting out removes your personal pressure. It does not remove the public display during a match.
Who is eligible
Any creator who receives Diamonds during a LIVE that follows TikTok's terms and policies is eligible. There is no minimum Diamond count and no minimum audience.
A LIVE drops out of the League automatically if it falls into any of these categories:
- Pay-to-support promotion on sensitive topics.
- A LIVE during an ongoing tragedy, or one that fakes a victim posture.
- Engagement manipulation, such as follow-for-follow schemes.
- Aggressive gift begging.
- Any breach of TikTok Community Guidelines.
Group-LIVE caps also apply: no more than twice in 30 days, and no more than once in your last ten LIVEs.
